The Great Man
David Williamson’s new comedy revisits the political arena for a perceptive look at the nature of truth. Jack Barclay, a towering figure in the Labor (sic) Party, has died and a group of his nearest and not-so-dearest gather to plan the order of service. As they jockey for position, the reputation of the great man is gradually stripped as each proclaims to know the ‘truth’. A man’s reputation becomes a pack of self-interested lies. It stars Max Cullen and Genevieve Picot.
